The chart depicts the percentage of challenges people face relocating in a different country and how the challenges vary according to people’s ages.
Overall, there are gradual decreases in 2 categories of the challenges and ages, that are, finding somewhere to live and making
friends, by contrast, the percentage of learning the local language gradually rises for every age group.
The most challenges aspect for young people aged 18 to 34 is making new friends, the problem experienced by 46% of the people in this age group. However, only 36% of 35-54 years old find it difficult to make friends, while fewer people over 55 (23%) have this problem.
People aged 18-34 and 35-54 have the same problem in finding accommodation with 40% and 39% for each group. However, the older age group finds this easier, at only 22%. Fifty-four percent of people aged over 55 faces obstacles in learning the local language the biggest obstacle. In comparison, only 35% of 35-54 years old find it hard to learn the local language, while even fewer people aged 18-34 have this problem.
