Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Sri Lanka and Canada Visit: Sri Lanka Visit – September 26-27
During the visit, a meeting of the India-Sri Lanka Business Forum was held which was attended by the Commerce and Industry Minister and Mr Malik Samarawickrama, Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade of Sri Lanka.
India will invest up to $2 billion in Sri Lanka over the next four years in a range of sectors including real estate, energy and infrastructure.

Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’arrived in New Delhi for a three-day state visit to India. The major agreements sealed between the Indian and Nepali delegations included upgrade of road network in Nepal and two line of credit agreements between Nepal and the Exim Bank.
India and Nepal signed three agreements including improvement of road network to cement ties between the two neighbors.
The two countries signed MoU for project management consultancy services for up gradation and improvement of road infrastructure in Terai area of Nepal.
India also gave 750 million dollar line of credit for post earthquake reconstruction of the Himalayan nation
Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is visited Jhakri town in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh to inspect Asia’s biggest underground Nathpa-Jhakri hydro-power project.The project has a power generation capacity of 1500 megawatt.
